The DDT Pigging System uses the patented DDT flexible cleaning pigg which carries and array of interchangeable cleaning appendages or studs each of which is threaded into the body of the pigg. These cleaning appendages are radically dispersed in a pattern to provide a complete 360 degree cleaning action. The process removes deposits in the pipeline in a series of highly controlled incremental cleaning runs and can be combined with an initial chemical batch run to help loosen known deposits. Piggs are available in various sizes shapes and appendages in a range of hardness and can be softer than the pipe to eliminate scratching of the pipe. Changing the height of the appendages controls the rate at which deposits are removed and will determine the amount of liquid to bypass around the pigg which flushes the removed deposits from the pigg's path.

This new Pigg® has many advantages over conventional pigs used by pigging companies. The DDJet Pigg® is manufactured under very controlled conditions, using advanced polymer chemistry. It incorporates a self compensating axial orifice, providing enhanced forward debris removal. The hydrokinetic action of this design will promote the expulsion of soft, non-adherent contaminants encountered in vertical heaters. The axial alignment exerts a rotation force on the pig, spinning the pig during the travel down a tube. This enhances the potential coverage of the embedded appendages. In actual cleaning programs, this DDJet Pigg® will enhance the evisceration and expedite the pigging session.
The DDJet Pigg® is available with a variety of studs ranging from Titanium Chrome for polishing the inside of pipelines thus preventing turbulent flow and in turn creating laminar flow in the line. Also available are tungsten cutters for use in iron sulphide removal. Tungstens also have half moons that will remove the hardest coke, sandstone, or paraffins. The DDJet Pigg®, when properly sized, is guaranteed to clean any pipeline 100%.
